She doesn’t love you anyways…

wall7-800x600Happy Valentines Day from those of us at Montana Fragfest. We weren’t even thinking about cracking jokes about single’s awareness day and bottles of lotion next to boxes of Kleenexes. At least if you are alone you can always make yourself better by plastering an awesome Starcraft 2 Valentines Wallpaper on your computer and go to a strip joint. I’ll buy the first round.

We just want to know: What games are you playing this Valentines Day? are you playing them with a sweetie or playing with yourself (ahhh see what I did there!) ?

What We’re Playing – January 29, 2009

  • Jade “Proximity” Robbins – “I’ll be damned if I can’t kick my Madden 09 habit. Still been playing a bit of Left 4 Dead but not enough to be good enough to write an article with tips. DS play time has tapered off, but primarily because I’ve been busting out some new projects. Also I’m in a gaming dry spell. Nothing out there is really appealing to me these days. I need my TF2 passion back.”
  • Travis “Bullet-Tooth Tony” Henningsen – “I have been getting back into TF2 lately.  I’m pretty frustrated that I can’t snipe as well as I used to but it’s slowly coming back.  In between that I have picked up Resident Evil 4 for the Wii.  Previously, I had beaten it for Gamecube, but being the magnificent bastard that it was I had to play it again.  And that usually doesn’t happen for me that often.  Usually one run though the Single Player is all I do.  Also I have been trying to get Mirror’s Edge a go for the PC.  Suddenly the game crashes when you load an area.   I even tried to go through the old chapters that I had beaten and it froze up.  So after a format scheduled for this weekend I should be up and running.”
  • Mark “Bruce LeeRoy” Sanborn – “Well I have been absurdly caught up with programming and starting tons of exciting projects; however, I was able to slip in quite a few hours of Mario Galaxies.  I also quit the MMO I was playing as I didn’t have the time nor the ambition to keep going with it.

Mario Galaxies was very enjoyable.  The game is easy enough not to have to repeat levels but also keeps it fresh.  The game introduces new elements each level to hold your attention and keep you wanting to play for hours.

I also tried to play GTA4 on the computer.  This game is an obvious port and runs like total crap.  Do not waste your time.

Games I would like to play:

    Mirrors edge
    Prince of Persia”

What We’re Playing – November 14, 2008

  • Jade “Proximity” Robbins – “After a LAN party my game time decreases substantially. I’ve been constantly playing Madden 09, though. That is the nice thing about sports games is that the actual sport keeps your interest. Really would love to get Mirrors Edge and can’t wait for Left4Dead to be released.”
  • Travis “Bullet-Tooth Tony” Henningsen – “In the past 3 week I have been on a single player rampage. I’ve blown through dead space, farcry , and Fallout 3. Also been dealing with my ISP Brensan who pretty much has their head up there ass. My ping is somewhere between 300 and 800 making online addiction almost impossible.”
  • Mark “Bruce LeeRoy” Sanborn – “Looking for a new game to play as I am getting burned out on TF2. I recently dabbled in fallout3 and realized that it wasn’t the game for me. The game is highly focused on role playing and talking to town folk. I need a game that is all “killin no fillin” which is what left 4 dead is. I am waiting for the release of left 4 dead but is still not decided if I am going to buy the game. I fear that it is not going to be a long term multiplayer game like TF2 was. In the mean time I’m going to install the new Farcry and blow some bitches up.”
